What, When, Where: Purple Passions
January 20, 2014
We’ve been getting lots of emails and press releases recently featuring Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2014, Radiant Orchid.
Ann Sacks and Baker sent out a color-keyed selection from their collections just this past Friday, featuring that pinky-plummy shade of purple.
Both New York magazine and Seventeen have published product stories focusing on the color—how often do those two agree on a subject?

We weren’t totally surprised at the choice of hue: looking back at the past year, New England designers have been keen on colors that look suspiciously close to Radiant Orchid, as well as its bluer and more lavender cousins.
