Chestnut Grove Design Group, Inc.

Our Work

We are a full-service interior design and landscape architecture studio, and our ideal client prioritizes a home that blends the beauty of indoors and out. A house should flow seamlessly from patio to parlor, inviting you to feel at home within every space.

With every project, our intent is to maintain the character of the home. We emphasize high quality materials and create a look that preserves the past while living in the present. A house should honor its history but never feel like a time capsule. Reimagined, fresh spaces full of charm, detail, and well-crafted bones built for longevity are always our goal.

Our Philosophy

We believe in harmony between the past and present, connection between the outside world and interior life, and flow between public and private spaces. Each room should speak to its history and the view that emerges just beyond the four walls. We believe home should be a sanctuary, and architectural integrity should seamlessly merge with modern comfort.

As an interior design and landscape architecture team well-versed in both the unparalleled character and unique challenges of working with historic homes, our goal is to create a holistic vision that bridges preservation with function. With each project, we incorporate timeless materials that are chosen to last for generations. Quality and classicism are at the core of our design.

Whether we’re working on the complete renovation of an 1800s house or bringing to life a new construction home, we take every detail into account, designing a home that perfectly fits your lifestyle and becomes your legacy.

Our Story

We’re visual creatives with a common love of New England charm, British design principles, and historic homes. We’re also a husband and wife duo who bring together classical training in interior design and landscape architecture.

Ryan is a Massachusetts native who spent his summers in the cool blue lakes of New Hampshire. From a young age, he paid careful attention to the landscapes that surrounded him. He worked jobs in farming and landscaping before enrolling at the Stockbridge School of Architecture. He founded his first landscape company out of school, and, today, he serves as the principal landscape designer of Chestnut Grove Designs. He infuses his work with decades of inspiration gathered throughout New England, always keeping an eye towards the native landscapes that thrive here.

Christina earned her degree in Interior Design before launching a career in custom kitchen design. She developed a keen eye for the details that elevate stunning and functional custom cabinetry. In 2009, she launched her own residential design firm to expand her services to cohesive designs that encompass the entire home. Her love of historic architecture and nuanced modern living is brought to life in projects ranging from Boston brownstones to suburban family homes throughout New England.

Each home in our portfolio merges our design aesthetic with the personal tastes of their owners. We draw from tradition, classic architecture, and storied motifs to create homes that feel both rich in history and updated for fresh, modern living.
