Back by popular demand the second annual Day of Design will take place at The Mayflower Grace, in Washington, Connecticut on June 13. The event includes panels with renowned interior designers, architects, stylists, and industry VIPs along with lunch, and a “Meet the Designers” cocktail party. If you love to peruse the pages of shelter magazines, decorate your home, and keep up on the latest design trends—this event is for you!

The day kicks off with the talk ‘Styling the Collection’ presented by Kathryn McCarver Root of KMR Arts Gallery and designer Alan Tanksley, as well as New England Home’s editor-in-chief, Kyle Hoepner to discuss how to curate, style and display your collections.The second morning talk focuses on ‘Bold Moments in Design’ a subject that examines what are the elements of design that make the strongest statement. The panelists for the talk will be New England Home editor and stylist Stacy Kunstel, along with designers Katie Curtis and Justin Shaulis.

After lunch on the porch overlooking The Mayflower Grace grounds, renowned interior designer Philip Gorrivan and Fromental North America Director, Melissa Mittag will speak about the transformative power of wallpaper in modern interiors. Following this panel is a discussion on ‘Designing Paradises’ with design star Robert Couturier.

The moderators for the panels are design mavens Susanna Salk, a Litchfield County resident and the author of many highly regarded design books and Stacey Bewkes, founder and writer of the blog Quintessence. True design afficionados will love Stacey and Susanna's shopping videos that give you the inside scoop on the most stylish spots to find furnishings and accessories for your home.
