Take a Seat is call for submissions! The International Furnishings and Design Association New England is now accepting submissions for the fifth annual TAKE A SEAT event. TAKE A SEAT features up-cycled chairs redesigned by design professionals such as builders, craftsman, and interior designers. The furniture is created from an existing chair or built from recycled materials. Here are a few examples from last year’s event to demonstrate the amazing creativity.

Traveling Tour at various New England locations: May 9 – 30, 2017

Gala & Auction: June 1, Royale, Boston. Click here to purchase a ticket.

Proceeds from the sale of the chairs crafted in New England will benefit local charities including Friends of the Children, The Lyceum Fellowship, and Women’s Institute for Housing & Economic Development.
