Stacy’s Style – Design Hall of Fame, Jeff Koons, and a Hidden Bar

I love that the Boston Design Center kicks off all our fall celebrations with two days of dazzling design events. I was blown away by the chic café and marketplace displays, and enjoyed hearing Charlotte Barnes, Dakota Jackson, Liz Caan, John Day and Jill Goldberg among the other speakers. The most exciting part though was downing champagne while waiting for the new inductees for the New England Design Hall of Fame to be announced. Congratulation Douglas Dick, Treffle LaFleche, Dinyar Wadia, Jim Gauthier, Susan Stacy, Christina Oliver, and Rosemary Porto! look forward to seeing you again under the lights at the celebration we’ll have in your honor in November!
During Design Days, I gave a talk with my colleagues Lynda Simonton and Karin Lidbeck Brent at Venegas and Company. Check out the video of this hidden bar they could construct for you on my instagram account—amazing.
A huge note of congratulations goes out to Boston area interior designer and blogaprenuer, Erin Gates on the publication of her book, Elements of Style: Designing a Home and a Life. I was lucky enough to style a few homes in the book (including Erin’s own home!) and love the layout and message of this book. So many ideas!
One last thing—if you’re in New York between now and Saturday, you still have a chance to see the Jeff Koons exhibit at The Whitney. I went last Saturday and have not stopped talking about it. Here I am contemplating a kitten.
