New England Home editor-in-chief Kyle Hoepner and I were asked to address the Boston chapter of IFDA last week and we got to review with members our tips on getting your work published. Wolfers Lighting in Waltham hosted the event and designers and architects alike turned out with so many great questions we talked thirty minutes longer than what was scheduled. It was a great discussion for us too!
This weekend is the last weekend to see the Hartford Junior League Showhouse. It’s an amazing piece of architecture (think romantic manor house with castle details) with a host of beautiful and inspiring rooms inside. A favorite of mine is this space by Bruce Valicenti of BFV Designs.
If you are a designer, and haven’t made it to a Wakefield Design Center To the Trade Day yet, you’re missing out. Think of it as a half-day inspiration and learning experience. For the spring event (there will be another in the fall) design luminaries Jamie Drake, Elizabeth Pyne of McMillian Inc., author Steven Stolman. Pictured with me here interiors designers Anne Maxwell Foster and Suysel dePedro Cunningham of Tilton Fenwick and Erin Gates shared tips, secrets and insights. We’ll let you know here when the next one will be and who will be featured.
