Sneak Peeks: Glass Act
November 28, 2013

Photographs just don’t do justice to the extraordinary art glass created by Carrie Gustafson. But you can get an idea of how delicately detailed her work is in the January/February issue of New England Home. According to the Artistry piece, “to truly appreciate what Gustafson does, you have to hold her pieces up to natural light and experience them in all their glorious animation.” Indeed, Gustafson’s artful manipulation of blown glass is a sight to behold. She creates texture and translucent wonder in a former factory in Cambridge, Mass. Her work, pictured here, is treasured and collected—and some of it will even be sold at the Annual Smithsonian Craft Show in April 2014. It clearly must be seen to be believed.
