Sneak Peek: Adirondack Style on Squam Lake

June 12, 2014

By Maria LaPiana

These photos barely hint at the amazing story of rebirth told in “The Phoenix.”
The inspiring tale of a New Hampshire camp house that literally rose from the ashes of a terrible fire is told in the next issue of New England Home. It’s hard to imagine the sense of despair that came with the loss of a lovingly and artfully designed home built in true Adirondack style. This story would have a sad ending if not for the perseverance and determination of the homeowners, their architect, and the builder who discovered the scorched home site back in 2012. Fast forward: The house in all its rustic beauty was rebuilt and it’s better than ever. Read all about it in the July-August issue of New England Home, on newsstands July 8, 2014.
