In our upcoming spring issue of New England Home’s Connecticut, we feature woodcut printmaker Deborah Weiss.
Weiss creates abstract images in lush tones. She has one collection, called the Green Print Portfolio, in which she uses inks to print botanical silhouettes on handmade paper made in Nepal.

What I like most about her prints, other than the layering of the gorgeous tones, is that she uses the grain of the woodblocks as part of her art. Looking at Weiss’s work makes me regret never having taken a course in printmaking.
