Seasonal Green Floral Arrangements

I once read that there is more variety in the color green that any other color in the rainbow. I’m not sure that is a scientific fact, but I do love the wide variety of greens that I pull from the garden to create interesting and unusual green foliage for my bouquets.
Here is a sneak peek at some the centerpieces, bouquets, and floral displays I have made for various publications over the years.
An easy centerpiece comes right from your shady garden bedI cut assorted Hosta leaves and arranged them in the center of a long copper tray filled with pebbles and water. I secured the leaves with a metal floral frog. Pairing the glass hurricanes on either side makes a lovely garden arrangement for indoors.
Looking back through my archives of floral designs I realized my love for green goes back years, I created this green arrangement for a magazine six years ago and the look still feels fresh. I love the way the cage holds the tall stems in place creating a sculptural look.
The vegetable garden is overflowing this time of year with herbs that can make an impressive arrangement. Save a can with a garden inspired label for the vase for some county charm.
So don’t feel blue that the bloom of summer is fading turn your attention to the green in your garden—there is still plenty of material for making beautiful arrangements.
