Notes from the Field: K Colette in Portland

I have been fortunate enough to spend time recently in Portland, Maine, and have enjoyed exploring the great shopping offered by both the city and its surrounding area. I often find myself heading to K Colette when I want to purchase something to perk up my home or buy a special gift for a friend.

K Colette delights the senses the minute you walk in the door. The shop smells delicious, thanks to a wide variety of refreshingly scented candles, lotions, and soaps. The space is bright and airy. Each item in the beautifully crafted displays throughout the store has been selected with such care that you feel as if the owners are sharing their favorite things with you—and it is hard to resist buying them all!

Take a stroll around the floor and you will discover a lively variety of items for the home, including artwork, tableware, decorative accessories, and children’s toys. Here are some favorites I noticed during my most recent visit.
