Japanomania! Japanese Art Goes Global
Through June 30
Learn the stories behind PEM’s Japanese export art collection along with items on loan from a private collection. The exhibit takes visitors on a journey from the arrival of Portuguese merchants in the 1500s through Japan’s emergence on the world stage in the late 19th century and beyond. Ubuhle Women: Beadwork and the Art of Independence
