Summer hostess gift? Baby shower present? A little something to sate your appetite for cheery color and pattern? You’ll find just what you need (and probably a few things you don’t) at Blanche + Mimi, an irresistibly adorable shop in Portland, Maine’s Old Port district. (Take a look at their website and you’ll see what I mean!) From baby clothes to vintage housewares, the store stocks a variety of small indulgences that you very likely won’t be able to live without, such as these linen tea towels from Studiopatró.

I was thrilled to find out via the CocoCozy blog that the Los Angeles–based designer’s pillows are being carried at The Lion’s Paw on Nantucket. Just in time for summer sprucing, the pillows come in nautical shades with preppy patterns, perfect for vacation living.

I spent Memorial Day weekend at my parents’ cottage on the Cape. My great-grandfather built the small, rickety structure before the Cape Cod canal was dug–so that gives you an idea of how old everything is. Every time I’m there I try to imagine a fresh way to decorate the space (not that I mind the giant wooden fork and spoon, or the porcelain kitten climbing the wall). I saw this chandelier from Cottage and Bungalow and thought it would be the perfect fit. Weathered but modern, beachy but sophisticated.
