I can’t stop looking at Enzo Berti’s beautifully simple Pavé seating collection for Kreoo. The super-smooth marble bases and wooden larch seats come in various sizes and colors for mixing and matching–seating that doubles as sculpture!

I’ve been searching for a good fabric for my last few Friday Favorites, but I haven’t been able to find anything that has wowed me. That is, until I saw the Alexander Henry Fulham Road collection.

My personal favorite is the Como pattern–the craziest of the bunch. A work of art in itself, the pattern is layered and Baroque and colorful and hand-worked. In the right hands (and in moderation), it could really make a statement. Available at Grey’s Fabric and Notions in Boston.

With mind-boggling realism, artist Juan Escauriaza’s paintings are so photographically perfect they can play tricks with your mind. Is that really a painted New England street scene, telephone wires and all or can a brushstroke be seen? The artist’s work first startled me while I was walking down Harrison Avenue in the South End and I saw this painting in the window of Diseño. Now I can’t get enough of looking at the mundane scenes he paints and elevates to art.
