Filzfelt, based in South Boston, is a German felt importer that sells interesting felt accessories. I’m partial to the natural grey on this pillow, which combines simplicity and texture, but I can’t help but fixate on the colorful scraps and yardage they sell for create-your-own objects… their potential gets my mind racing.

As if I needed one more incentive to stay inside during these wintry days, these modern, stainless steel Chimo fireplaces from Blomus exude both warmth and style. The fireplaces burn smoke-free, eco-friendly ethanol and are available in wall-mounted and freestanding styles. The best part? No chimney required. (Locally, they’re available through Boston’s Lekker Home and Addo Novo in Portland, Maine.)

Connecticut-based interior designer Michelle Morgan Harrison introduced me to my new favorite chair this week. The Grant Chair by Alexa Hampton for Hickory Chair is probably the most comfortable barrel chair I’ve ever tried, plus it’s super gorgeous. Michelle customized her version with leather and damask for a client’s library. I particularly love the chair’s extended arms. Perfect for tall girls like me!
