Friday Favorite – A Beautiful Throw from Janice Jones

Weaver Janice Jones found the perfect outlet for her fascination with the interplay of color and pattern. Since 1970, she has been designing and weaving textiles that she turns into pieces that are both functional and beautiful. The Bradford, Maine, artist’s work includes clothing, but it’s her pieces for the home—blankets, and throws, tea towels, table runners, placemats, and napkins—that I find so appealing. The understated pattern and soft coloration of this Welsh-inspired throw woven of organic Merino wool would warm up an autumn evening.
