Editor’s Miscellany: Hall of Fame Time Once More
October 25, 2012
By Kyle Hoepner
Two weeks ago I complained about the number of design events happening this time of year. Today I’m back to push shamelessly for adding yet one more to your calendar. I wonder if this means I have a bright future in politics? But, all kidding aside, you really don’t want to miss the sixth annual New England Design Hall of Fame, coming up very quickly on Thursday, November 8. Seven more worthy souls are to be added to the august company of former inductees. These are the people at the top of their game, the people who define what residential architecture, interior design and landscape design in New England can be.

I should also mention that the Hall of Fame is simply the best industry party of the season. Both the cocktail hour (hosted this year on the newly renovated “Winners’ Mezzanine”) and the gala dinner and awards ceremony overlook the dining room’s spectacular double-height views of downtown Boston and the harbor, which will no doubt do their best—yet fail—to outshine the glittering panoply of design folk inside.
