Design in Depth: Galleria Design Center
April 4, 2012

Last month at the invitation of Laurie Dragunoff, whom I have gotten to talk with at a couple of New England Home events, I visited the Galleria Design Center in Middletown, Connecticut.

I had no idea that a 100,000-square-foot design showroom was sitting in the middle of the state, filled with life-size outdoor settings in stone, full-scale bathrooms, fabrics, furniture and lighting. Here’s a glimpse of what I saw.

Laurie’s own showroom in the center features sections devoted to California Closets, Hunter Douglas window shades and vignettes she’s created.

CT Stone just finished the renovation of its 5,000-square-foot showroom in the design center, making it the largest granite and marble showroom in the state. First, browse the vignettes for ideas…
