David Boronkay of Slocum Hall Design Group Transforms a Newton Home

Follow along as David Boronkay, owner/principal of Slocum Hall Design Group, transforms his own home in Newton, Massachusetts. The four-part video series unveiled over the following two months documents Boronkay’s renovation journey. While the original 1860s farmhouse had charm and many benefits, like a wonderful neighborhood and a large double lot, there was room for improvement.

Under Boronkay’s direction, the tired and compact house morphed into a home with all the latest “must-haves,” including an open floor plan, desirable indoor-outdoor living, and the latest energy-saving technology.

In part one, Boronkay walks us through the property and explains how he intends to build upon the home’s existing footprint.
