Wakefield Design Center’s To The Trade Only Market Days has built a reputation for attracting nationally renowned A-List design stars, and the Spring 2017 event is no exception. Michael Berman, Clinton Smith, and Meg Braff will all be on-hand to share their thoughts and ideas on design.
The Enduring Legacy of Mid-Century Design
12:45 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Designer Michael Berman will kick-off the event with a talk “The Enduring Legacy of Mid-Century Design” where he will share his insights about the history of design in California and the midcentury influences that continue to influence design trends today. He will also share his latest furniture collection with Theodore Alexander.
It’s all in the Mix
2 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Interior designer Meg Braff is well known for her artful mix and her fresh take on traditional design. Braff will divulge some of her design secrets including how she selects vintage pieces and creates interiors with her signature style. Braff ‘s new book The Decorated Home will be available for purchase, and she will sign books after her talk.
Veranda Entertaining
3:15 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Veranda’s editor in chief Clinton Smith will chat about his latest book Veranda Entertaining. Smith will discuss beautiful and dynamic ideas for entertaining from throwing sophisticated soirees to cozy suppers.
