What, When, Where: New on the Style Scene

Usually I try to find some sort of common thread to link the products I feature on the blog: color, texture, style, type. The items below follow no set theme, save that they’re all brand new, and in my opinion bound for great things—or homes, in this case.

Naturals II is a new collection from the Robert Allen Group; the rustic-yet-sophisticated textiles come in a range of colorways and patterns, an updated take on the original Naturals collection.

Add a little rock ‘n roll to your home décor with the new Detroit Collection from Jonathan Charles, released at High Point Market and inspired by American diners, classic cars and cool tunes. “My favorite place to go during High Point Market is Carolina Diner, whose retro atmosphere inspired me to design the Detroit Collection,” says founder and designer Jonathan Sowter. “It’s a celebration of 50s culture—a decade of attitude and high style—from Jackson Pollack to Elvis to the Ford Thunderbird.”

Duravit’s Happy D.2 is a fresh take on the company’s signature “D” shape with elegantly modern bathtubs, toilets and washbasins. Other happy surprises include LED-lit mirror cabinets with an integrated sound system.

Schumacher’s new stationery collection for Dempsey & Carroll captures the famed textile design company’s beautifully detailed patterns on paper. This is definitely worth writing home about.
