Designer Snapshot: Back to the Future

Designing for 2011 is all about function, says Reading, Mass., designer Mark Christofi. “It’s about who can effectively take an idea and translate it in the most spare, elegant and practical of terms,†he says.  If you want to see a prime example of utility combined with beauty, Christofi suggests going to see Tron: Legacy, where the interior sets pay homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey.  “I could watch it over and over.
