Sneak Peeks: The Work of John Walker

January 13, 2011

In the upcoming March/April issue of New England Home we will be featuring the work of painter John Walker. For the better part of the last sixty years Walker has been crafting a skilled hand that makes his work expressive yet effortless. His paintings are striking and bold while conveying a simple, subtle sense of emotion and soul. What first seems abstract can suddenly appear as a landscape, or a still life, or just as quickly change to handwriting or letterforms. As Walker’s career has constantly evolved, so do his paintings, right before your eyes.

In the meantime, you might enjoy checking out the work of Michael Mazur and Hyman Bloom.
