Wallpaper Love

August 18, 2014

By Lynda Simonton

If you questioned whether or not wallpaper was “in” or “out” you don’t have to look further than New England Home’s July/August issue for your answer. Beautiful papers graced the walls of almost every home we featured. Most of these papers were printed on natural materials such as sea grass and sisal, so rich texture is front and center. Prints too, were represented, and they were utterly charming.

Here is a quick round-up of some of the papers featured in the magazine and a resource reference to where they came from.

Classic Greek key design in a bold blue printed on natural sisal punches up the powder room of a shingle style house on Boston’s North Shore.

The dining room of the same house is swathed in a wallcovering from the Philip Jeffries Rivets collection. The masculine paper adds texture and bit of metallic shine.
